We invite you to join us for our Maundy Thursday Gatherings, a meaningful evening set apart as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter. We will meet on Thursday at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM as we share in communion, worship, and a foot washing element, remembering Christ’s example of love, humility, and sacrifice. We hope you’ll come ready to slow down, reflect, and experience this sacred night together as a church family.

Maundy Thursday is celebrated the Thursday before Easter to remember the Last Supper. At the Last Supper, Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper, he washed the disciples’ feet, and he gave them the new commandment, “Love one another as I have loved you.” The word maundy comes from mandatum which means command or commandment. After supper, they went to the garden to pray where the arrest happened, and trials continued late into the night and the following morning. After the questioning, Jesus was crucified on Friday afternoon, what we know as Good Friday. The disciples were scared, so they scattered to their homes that Friday. Three days later, after hearing the news, they came together to understand what had happened—a resurrection!
