The Bible and God the Trinity

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority for Christian faith and living. It is without error in tits original manuscripts.
(2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter1:21)

TRINITY
God exists eternally as three persons in one: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (the “Trinity); and has revealed Himself to be perfect in love, and righteous in all His ways, and creator of all things. (Eph. 1:3-14; Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 John 4:2)

GOD THE FATHER
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, sovereign, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good: He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
(Gen. 1-2, Deut. 6:4; Ps. 90:2; Matt. 22:37, 28:19, John 8:54-59)

GOD THE SON
Jesus Christ is God’s eternal Son. As true God and true man He allowed Himself to be born of a virgin, taught men how to live through His sinless life, was crucified as a sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, and returned to heaven to prepare a place for us.
(Matt. 1:18-23; 18:1-6; John 1:1-14; Acts 2:22, 10:37-38; 1 Cor. 15:4; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 7:26 1 Peter 2:22)

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit convicts the world to repent of sin and recognize Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He lives in us and teaches us. He helps us grow at every stage of our spiritual life, enabling us to live a victorious life through His power and presence. We believe in the diversity of gifts given by the Spirit for the common good of the church and that they are operating today. The Holy Spirit regenerates, seals, baptizes, adopts, indwells, and sanctifies the believer simultaneously.
(1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16, 12:7, 11, Ephesians 4:7-8, Galatians 5:22-23, Romans 12:1-8, 1 Corinthians 13, 1 Peter 4:10-11, 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1)

The Fall of Man and Salvation from God

MANKIND
Mankind was created in the image of God. However, Adam and Eve willfully disobeyed God, as do all people. That first sin had several repercussions: Mankind was excommunicated from the Garden of Eden, a curse was pronounced, the process of physical death began, and mankind died spiritually. Sin separated mankind from God, severing our fellowship from Him and His holiness. We are sinners by nature, by choice, and deserving of God’s wrath.
(Genesis 1:26; 3:6, 14-19, 23, Genesis 2:17, John 3:19-21, 36; Romans 3:10-24; 5:12-19; Eph. 2:1-4; )

SALVATION
Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as the substitutionary atonement in our place. Salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ by grace through faith. Through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven our sins, reborn by the Holy Spirit, and become children of God.
(Acts 4:12; John 1:12; 3:16; 14:6, 1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 8:12; 9:26, 1 John 4:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Revelation 3:5, Philippians 3:20-21, Galatians 4:4-7; 5:22-23, Romans 4:4-5; 8:16, John 3:3, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 Peter 1:3-5)
ETERNAL SECURITY
We believe that all true Christ-followers are eternally secure through the Spirit’s power.  We believe that it’s the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation without using their Christian liberty as justification to sin.
(John 6:37-40; 10:27-30, Romans 8:1, 38-39; 13:13, 1 Corinthians 1:4-8, 1 Peter 1:5, Galatians 5:13,  Phil. 1:6; Titus 2:11-14)

The Church and Return of Jesus

THE CHURCH
The Church is the living Body of Christ on earth; He is its head and the source of its life. The Body is composed of those who have received Him as Savior and Lord, baptized by the Holy Spirit. The church exists to bring glory to Jesus Christ and to accomplish His purpose.
(1 Corinthians 12:12-28; 14:12, Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20, John 17:8, Ephesians 4:11-16)

JUDGEMENT AND ETERNITY
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence. Jesus Christ will return to earth to raise the dead, judge the world, and establish His glorious kingdom. This is the hope of the Church and its encouragement for ministry. Those who have been reborn will live with Him forever. There will be a final judgment in which each person will stand at the judgment seat of Christ. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will be deemed righteous through Christ’s righteousness and will enjoy God in the New Heavens and New Earth for all eternity.
(Matthew 25:31-46, John 2:25, 3:16, 5:11-13; Romans 2:1-9, 6:23; 1 Corinthians 4:5, 1 John 5:11-12, Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-4)
